• Research what rules and restrictions apply to both your origin and destination. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so be sure to check before you book.
• Keep your face mask on during airport screening. A TSA employee will ask you to temporarily lower your mask to verify your identity.
• You're no longer required to hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA employee. Rather, position the pass on the scanner and then hold it up for the agent to visually inspect it.
• TSA is now permitting passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on baggage. This will need to be removed from your bag at the X-ray machine for screening.
• Put any personal items (phone, keys and wallet) in your carry-on rather than a bin to minimize handling during screening.
• Transport all food items in a clear plastic bag and also put them in a screening bin. Keeping your food separate from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA officer will need to touch and open your bag for inspection.
